Tri Delta’s National Philanthropy is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! At St. Jude, no child is ever turned away due to their family’s inability to pay for treatment. In fact, families never receive a bill!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is turned away from treatment due to a family’s inability to pay.

Tri Delta’s partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital began in 1999 and allows chapters the option to help on a national level while continuing to support local causes. Since beginning the partnership, Tri Delta has raised more than 20 million dollars!

In July 2010, Tri Delta announced it would take on a new, more aggressive challenge – to raise $15 million in 5 years to name the Specialty Clinic located in the Patient Care Center at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
No other Greek organization has had this level of commitment to a charitable partner, and few are raising a comparable amount of money. This new goal challenges the collegiate chapters of Tri Delta to raise $3 million each year, collectively.

MORE THAN $3.4 million was raised during the 2010-2011 academic year and to-date, Tri Delta has raised $4.1 million to our $15 million goal. Throughout the year, chapters held nearly 240 fundraising events, with more than 80 hosting multiple events. Tri Delta Fraternity reaches fundraising milestone: $15 Million in three and a half years for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

On Saturday, Feb. 1, Delta Delta Delta Fraternity officially announced the completion of its $15 million fundraising goal for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. The original campaign, which began in July 2010, was to raise $15 million in 5 years for the hospital. Tri Delta completed the goal a year and a half ahead of schedule.

The announcement came during the annual Tri Delta St. Jude Leadership Weekend in Memphis, Tenn., where more than 350 Tri Delta members were gathered to learn about the hospital’s operations, attend educational sessions on fundraising best practices and celebrate the Fraternity’s partnership with St. Jude.

The Phi Upsilon of Delta Delta Delta at Oklahoma State University raised $36,957 in the past year to support St. Jude.  The women serve their passion about this cause by hosting a philanthropy event called Delta House of Pancakes where they sell pancakes and Delta Delight Under An Oklahoma Night where they hire a band and invite people to come dance in the fall. In the spring, the women participate in letter writing to raise funds for this cause.
